Aramono in Tua-Tiu-Tiann: Exhibition

大稻埕荒物展 Get Tickets

Project content:

The Japanese word "Aramono" refers to traditional, hand-made goods for household use, such as bamboo baskets, wooden spoons, iron pots and pans and porcelain tea sets. These items are still made by traditional craftspeople in Tua-Tiu-Tiann, whose trade dates back many decades. TTTIFA wishes to highlight this tradition with this exhibition of Taiwanese Aramono goods at Earthing Way from October 14 to November 30. A free lecture and several workshop seminars (paid registration required) will be held, in which local craftspeople and artisans meet with any interested persons to share their knowledge and discuss the history of Taiwanese Aramono.
