Open-Air Performances
In its early days, Tua-Tiu-Tiann was best known as the Taipei’s theatre district, where audiences could enjoy performances by a wide range of actors, musicians, acrobats and even hucksters. Join us for the festival finale at the end of October, when TTTIFA revives this “carnival”-like atmosphere with open-air performances, both traditional and modern, spanning the fields of theatre, dance, visual arts and music. The event takes place outdoors at the south end of Dihua Street, an area long renowned for its traditional goods market, fine architecture and local cuisine. All are welcome to enjoy this free event, as we seek to connect today’s audiences and performers with those of Tua-Tiu-Tiann’s past.
