Project content:
For this series of events and exhibitions, photographers from abroad and Taiwan come together to present their work with Tua-Tiu-Tiann as their main subject. The series is divided into three events. The first involves inviting expatriate photographers in Taiwan to cast their photographic eye on the streets of Tua Tiu Tiann to see how they interpret the cultural monuments and traditional architecture of the area. The group will gather for a guided tour of the area on August 13, and their work will be exhibited in October at three locations: URS 127, URS 27W and Le Zinc cafe and bar. The second part is a three-day photography workshop held by photographers from the well-known BURN MY EYE photography collective: Andrew Kochanowski of the United States, Japan's Junku Nishimura, and Taiwan's T.C. Lin. The trio will lead participants on a photowalk, which will be followed by a workshop session afterwards to review everyone's work. The third event features talks from local photographers Chang Liang-I, a well-known photojournalist formerly of Apple Daily and currently with Taiwan People News, and popular photography blogger Ethan Chiang. Their talks will focus on Tua-Tiu-Tiann in relation to photojournalism and street photography.
